Bellefonte Fire Department
The Bellefonte Fire Department was created by Borough Council in 2009 and is made up of two volunteer fire companies: Logan Fire Company No. 1 and Undine Fire Company No. 2. Together, they have served Bellefonte for more than 150 years and also provide emergency services to parts of Spring, Benner, and Marion Townships.
The department's mission is to save lives, protect property, and improve quality of life by delivering safe and reliable service during emergency and non-emergency events. The BFD is led by Fire Chief Gary Lohr in coordination with the executive committee and the chiefs of each volunteer company.

Coverage: 1.8 square miles in Bellefonte plus 33 square miles in adjacent townships
Population: Approximately 17,657 residents
Structures Protected: Approximately 6,457
Fleet: Engines, rescue units, ladder/tower, quint, utility units, air cascade trailer, command vehicle, and special unit
