Dr. R visited Mrs. Eddinger’s College Prep Biology class last week for a guest lesson on how to make sauerkraut. This tied perfectly in with their current Matter & Energy unit where the classes are discussing anaerobic respiration. Dr. R walked them through the process and students were able to make tweaks to their recipes to see how it will affect the appearance and taste at the end of the fermentation process.
